I meant to put this up when it came out last year, but this seems like a good time, with RUSH & 2112 coming up. The YouTube channel The Tapes Archive made a really interesting video about Neil Peart, and I watched all of it. When it was over, I saw in the description that they cited RUSH @ 50! Check it out, pre-order RUSH & 2112, and order RUSH @ 50! And that's an order!
Here's the video of my interview with TalkShopLive, for those of you who weren't able to catch the live broadcast. Another great interview in the books!
I guess technically, today's post to the "Unboxing" page is not an unboxing but a review of my forthcoming book, RUSH & 2112. However, Sea of Tranquility host Pete Pardo does some paging through and ogling of photos, so I'm going to grandfather it in. He makes the quite salient point that this book, like all my books for Quarto, has incredible photos that make it well worth the sticker price.
Happy Friday! Today, I added a couple of unboxing videos of my books from the RAISE YOUR HORNS UNBOXING OVERVIEW CHANNEL. It's my favorite unboxing channel, and I think the way the person who does it is exactly how it should be done. Press the button below to see the videos in all their glory.
Here I am with All Music Magazine's Scott Itter. This is literally the perfect podcast interview to post right now, and not just because Scott and I had very easy banter. We talk about IRON MAIDEN @ 50 (out now!), RUSH & 2112 (out March 10), and my forthcoming book about the BIG FOUR (out November 10), so pretty much my entire life for the last six months. This was a really great interview, and it was fun as hell. Enjoy!
Happy 2026! I apologize for my radio silence of late! I was finishing a manuscript. Now it is time to start rolling out my next book, RUSH & 2112: 50 YEARS. It's about Rush and 2112, 50 years later. Glad I could clear that up. The release date is March 10, 2026. Pre-order now!
Last but certainly not least, we're wrapping up podcast season with my IRON MAIDEN @ 50 interview with the mighty Rita Wilde and CW West of the Rock and Roll Confessional Podcast. As I said last year when they interviewed me for RUSH @ 50, it was a really great interview, and Rita and CW are consummate professionals. Press the button!
Please enjoy my latest podcast interview with Allen Tate of Big Al’s Rockin’ Podcast. Big Al interviewed me in 2023 for OZZY @ 75, and it was nice to be back to talk about IRON MAIDEN @ 50. He asked great questions, and I even briefly went off about how the Blaze Bayley albums are wrongly maligned, an injustice that I have decided to singlehandedly correct.
Hi everybody! Please enjoy my in-depth discussion of IRON MAIDEN @ 50 with Nick Bambach of the Rock in Retrospect podcast. This is a really good one and it has my wholehearted endorsement. I mean, all my podcast appearances do, but this one is beefy! Enjoy, and please accept my most sincere apologies for my radio silence of the past few weeks. I've been in my secret laboratory, working on my second title for 2026. I'll make an announcement about that soon. Anyway, enjoy.
My new interview with The Five Count radio show in Mankato, Minnesota is up! Listen to me as I expound on various matters pertaining to my book IRON MAIDEN @ 50! Press the button!
I was on the Booked On Rock podcast with Eric Senich, my third appearance. Eric is great because he actually reads the book before he interviews you, and also because he forgave me for double-booking and having to reschedule. This was a great interview, per Eric's usual high standard.
Here I am discussing IRON MAIDEN @ 50 with the good folks at Dig Me Out 80s Metal Podcast. This was a panel show and while those can be kind of chaotic and messy, these guys ran a very tight ship and the episode was a lot of fun. One of the hosts only discovered the band three years ago!
